At Gateway.fm, we're excited to share our involvement in a groundbreaking project, TAC, that merges two of the largest ecosystems in the Web3 space: TON (Telegram Open Network) and Polygon. This collaboration aims to build the first TON Layer 2 protocol, leveraging Polygon CDK and AggLayer to address the issue of blockchain fragmentation and enhance interoperability. Blockscout will be used as the default block explorer.
The Vision Behind TAC
TAC (TON Application Chain) is designed to enable EVM-based decentralized applications to seamlessly integrate with the TON ecosystem, providing Telegram's vast user base with access to the world of DeFi and beyond. This integration is set to significantly boost liquidity, enhance user engagement and drive the adoption of innovative blockchain solutions
By connecting TON with the AggLayer, we're facilitating
Enhanced Liquidity: Users on both networks can easily move assets, boosting liquidity and creating new opportunities for DeFi applications.
Seamless Interoperability: Developers can build decentralized applications that leverage the strengths of both ecosystems, reaching a broader audience.
Innovative Applications: Beyond DeFi, this integration paves the way for new use cases in gaming, gameFi, decentralized identity and more.
Our Contribution at Gateway.fm
We're proud to be a critical part of this endeavor, handling the technical implementation and infrastructure development. Here’s a breakdown of our role in this project:
1. Devnet Deployment
We began by deploying the development network (devnet), which serves as a sandbox for testing and refining the integration of TAC with Polygon CDK and AggLayer technologies.
2. Testnet Deployment
Following the devnet, we launch the testnet to ensure the solution's stability, security and performance under real-world conditions. This phase is crucial for identifying and addressing any potential issues before the mainnet deployment.
3. Mainnet Deployment
The final phase involves deploying the fully operational mainnet. This is where the real action happens, as users start interacting with the new Layer 2 solution on the TAC blockchain.
Building with Polygon CDK and AggLayer
Our team is developing a Layer 2 solution using Polygon CDK, known for its scalability and efficiency. This Layer 2 is connected to AggLayer, an interoperability protocol designed to solve blockchain fragmentation. By integrating these technologies, TAC is enabling seamless liquidity flow between TON and Polygon, as well as all other roll-ups connected to AggLayer.
Looking Ahead
We specialize in delivering high-performance, scalable and secure infrastructure solutions. Our work on the TAC project showcases our ability to handle complex integrations and drive innovation in the blockchain space.
As the TON ecosystem continues to grow, our collaboration with TAC is set to unlock new possibilities for developers and users alike. We're excited to see how this project will evolve and contribute to the broader adoption of blockchain technology.
